Thanks, Namaste.

You are right, failure is part of the journey and it's so much easier when we accept it. I'll hav to check out the book you mentioned. It sounds like a great resource. :-)

Great post, if there is a secret to success, persistence is it! I'll never forget when I realized that failure is just part of the journey, it was such a relief. A book that really helped me get this is called Failing Forward by John Maxwell. It's a great book for anyone who is seriously experiencing failure in the real world for the first time...

Thanks for this, Harley. It put my current challenges into perspective and helped me remember that the key to persistence is consistent effort over a long period of time. Here's to not giving up!

You have a great way of pointing out what should be obvious, but is not.

This post makes me wonder if I'm using sloppy communication in other places too. Where else am I saying something, but not saying exactly what I mean? I'm a big believer in that you get what you ask for, so this is something I'm really going to look at.

Thanks!

Thank you!

You are absolutely right. Sometimes we don't realize what we end up sacrificing all in the name of trying to attain perfection.

I am definitely enjoying Livefyre. It fits with the overall theme of my site, plus actually cooperates with Headway. Thank's for the support!

Great post Harley! Loved your analogy of the bucket story with perfectionism. I couldn't agree more with your thoughts about how people throw away what they can have by insisting on perfection. In fact being a perfectionist makes a person 'not so perfect'. The perfectionist spends more time on a task constantly striving it to make it perfect which in turn makes him/her less efficient and effective. I guess sometimes we need to draw a line by being less obsessed with details and see the big picture instead!

We are pumped to have you on Livefyre! Feel free to send any questions/feedback our way :)

A lovely post Harley!

No need to strive for perfection. Strive to be good enough. Meet your goals with the least amount of effort. If your goals are high then those efforts will be as well.
