I enjoy all your photography, but this picture of the water buffalo (?) strikes me as a particularly strong composition. On the surface, the very slight appearance of color in the buff’s hide, and especially in the loose grass behind/below his horns, is hugely appealing to the eye in a B&W when done with extreme care, which you exercise adeptly.
But the most powerful quality of this photo is the buff’s tether – and the obvious indicators, via grass and mud on the horns, that the buff is not under anyone’s control other than his own, and this is furthered by the total absence of his master in the view.
When taking the picture I was really drawn by the textures of the mud and the grass. The animal was walking free along the same path as I through some rice terraces.

Terrific!
